But we are meaningfully less than legacy U.S. memorial diamond brands, because the partner laboratory network we source from in Henan, China is the world's largest lab-grown diamond cluster and the savings are structural, not a discount. This is work families remember for the rest of their lives; our price is honest, not the lowest bid. This is consumer equity, applied to grief: memorial diamonds should not be a luxury for the wealthy.

After the deposit checkout: what to expect
There is no separate retail “welcome kit” product. After your deposit clears at the first Shopify Checkout, Client Care emails clear instructions for sending ashes or hair—tracked and insured where stated—along with milestone updates through the lab. The balance is collected later through a second Shopify Checkout, after we confirm production with you.

How you pay RisenGem
Two Shopify Checkouts: deposit, then balance
Every RisenGem order is paid in two Shopify Checkout steps—a deposit when you place the order, and the balance after we confirm production with you. This is RisenGem’s own payment structure and is different from third-party financing such as Affirm—see Flexible financing below for that option.

1. Deposit at order
When you finish the guided order on risengem.com, the first Shopify Checkout collects your deposit. The amount you see on that screen is the deposit, not the full order total. Until your deposit clears, no growth-related lab work is scheduled.

2. Materials & lab intake
After the deposit clears, Client Care emails written shipping instructions for ashes or hair (tracked, insured where stated). Our partner laboratory network in Henan, China performs intake checks under our written specifications and emails milestones.

3. You confirm production
Once intake is complete, you click a Production confirmation in your customer center on risengem.com or in the secure email link. This is the moment you choose to start substantive custom work.

4. Balance after confirmation
Soon after your confirmation is recorded, Client Care emails a secure cart link for the balance—your second Shopify Checkout. You can also reach the balance link from your customer center on risengem.com.

Splitting payment into a deposit at order and a balance after we confirm production with you is not extra friction—it is the checkpoint we wish every memorial diamond brand offered. Three protections come built-in:

We run intake checks on your ashes or hair and confirm written production specs with you before charging the balance. If something looks wrong, we tell you—and you decide before substantive custom labor begins.
You can pause or change your mind
Between the deposit and your production confirmation, you can pause, change design details, or cancel under the deposit refund window described in Orders, shipping & refunds. No one rushes a grieving family.
You buy from a U.S. legal entity, in U.S. dollars
Both Shopify Checkouts run on Shopify Payments. The card statement reads Zyra Ltd (Colorado, USA)—the U.S. limited liability company behind RisenGem. Refunds and disputes are escalated under U.S. consumer protections, not international jurisdictions.

How we price
Why we can be meaningfully less than legacy memorial diamond brands
We are not running a discount. The price gap is structural—three honest reasons that follow directly from how we are built:

We don't run a growth lab
Legacy memorial diamond brands carry the fixed cost of running their own laboratory: equipment depreciation, materials-science payroll, capacity utilization risk. RisenGem does not. We focus on the U.S. brand work—written quality and custody specifications, supply-chain audit, U.S. Client Care, and standing behind every finished stone—and we source production from a quality-vetted partner laboratory network. A different cost structure means a different shelf price.

We integrated the world's most efficient supply chain
The partner laboratory network we source from in Zhengzhou, Henan operates at a scale legacy U.S. memorial-diamond brands simply do not match. Lower per-carat growth cost—the same crystalline carbon, the same HPHT/CVD diamond science, a different supply structure that we choose deliberately because it makes memorial diamonds accessible to more American families.

No retail markup, no jewelry-counter middleman, no franchise concession. We sell only on risengem.com. Every dollar that does not go to a retail layer comes back to you—as a price advantage, as independent grading on every finished stone, as insured shipping in both directions, and as U.S.-based Client Care. Not into ad spend or celebrity placements.
This isn't a discount strategy. It's a structural answer to why memorial diamonds were too expensive for too long. Memorial diamonds should not be a luxury for the wealthy.

Flexible financing (third-party)
Third-party payment plans at checkout
RisenGem orders are paid in two Shopify Checkouts (deposit + balance, see the panel above). On either checkout you may also see options to spread that step over time through third-party providers such as Affirm—those plans are offered by the lender, not by RisenGem.
